Honolulu: Pier 2 Passenger pick-up

Hi,

 

We are picking up a rental car, from nearby to Pier 2 on disembarking from the Pride of America.  Rather then all of us walking the 0.5 mile with baggage to the rental pick-up, we were hoping that we could leave someone at the terminal with the baggage and then swing by and pick them up with the rental car. 

 

I note that there is car entry to the pier, but is this restricted to car share (uber/lyft etc), or is it possible to drive through that area.  If it is possible, is there a cost for entry?

Are you sure the pick up is actually at the Pier? In the past Hertz had a desk there, but you had to take a shuttle to the airport to get the car.

Good question by CruiserBruce.  Where exactly did you plan to pick up your car?

 

In answer to your question, you can pick up and drop off at or very close to the pier.

We have booked a car through Turo, and so we need to pick it up nearby in Cooke St.  Easy walk for me without luggage, just not wanting to drag the bags along as well.
