Geography question about our cruise

We sail on adventure in November. My son is a geography whiz and he was wondering after we leave Labadee and head to Aruba will  we be going between Cuba and Jamaica or go the other way and go between Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico to get there. I'm sure someone has done this route and would know. TIA

Even though the route is planned in advance I would think weather conditions at the time could play a factor as well. There doesn’t appear to be much difference in distance between the two routes.
