mhlcanada Posted February 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2023 Is it possible to purchase a guaranteed veranda stateroom and request for a prime veranda or deluxe veranda stateroom through the cabin upgrade Captain’s Club benefits?
wrk2cruise Posted February 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2023 No. There is no 1 category upgrade with GTY rates. The prime and deluxe categories are not available for 1 category upgrade anyway. See blue chart.
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2023 (edited) Our simple understanding has always been if we book for example an A1 cabin, we’ll get it at the price of an A2 cabin. However, it is nice to see you can now book an aft-facing C1 cabin at the C2 price. That wasn’t the case prior to this recent change. On S class the aft C1’s are now SC (Sunset Concierge) which are excluded. On M class there are the 2-3 aft accessible C1’s but that’s it.

That was too good of a deal! 😂
wrk2cruise Posted February 27, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 27, 2023 Yea, C1 is now sorta what a C2 cabin used to be. All the "special" cabins have been moved to categories which 1) can be priced much higher and 2) don't qualify for the 1 category upgrade.
