Taking towels off ship for excursions?

Recommended Posts

When you return to the ship, you’ll typically see bins on the pier for you to drop your wet towels, and stacks of fresh towels so you can get some dry ones.

When we were on the Gem last month, I was happy to see that the towel crew on the pool deck were not requiring people to sign out towels and sign them back in. So nice not to be treated like a criminal.

Are you allowed to take provided towels off the ship for a shore excursion, or do we need to bring our own beach towels? Thanks in advance.

You do not want to take the towels from your cabin.

You will want to get beach towels from the towel stand on the pool deck. There are normally towel stands as you exit the ship and towel returns when you return to the ship,,, but the pick-up normally has a line (just go to the pool deck the day before your excursion).
