GSPG Posted March 6, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2023 Our reminder for final payment came in this morning for our Mediterranean cruise on Beyond in May, but due to financial reasons only we will be cancelling it. It’ll mean we’ll lose 3x £150 deposits, and we can’t see another cruise we could transfer this to, if we were allowed to. I have never cancelled before. Is it a case of just phoning them? Is there anything else we should be aware of? Thanks
Oceangoer2 Posted March 6, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2023 Yes...phone right away even if you have to be on hold for a while. The rep will try to help you with a transfer if possible. In the UK are your deposits non refundable? Was the case in the past but thought that may have changed. Just be sure to cancel before final payment date and time or there will be a penalty charged. You never know when you might get a sympathetic agent that can find a way to bend the rules. You might be better off transferring to another cruise date far in the future that you might be able to take. Even if you end up cancelling out that one you had the opportunity to extend the loss. Good idea and thanks very much. At the mo, just can’t find anything it all looks so expensive for us. Think we have been spoilt by the ‘bargains’ seen post pandemic. cublet Posted March 7, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 7, 2023 Hello, If you booked from the UK whilst on-board you can move bookings to another sailing without loss of deposit until final payment day. Regards, Cublet
