Sockets/ Adapters for South America.

Just looking at plugs and adapters for South America..although we have been before I just cannot remember which we used in Santiago. I am taking USA adapters for the ship but have a niggle at the back of my mind that we needed a different one for Chile, pre cruise. Unfortunately, my phone will not last four days without a charge. Any help gratefully received.

Ooh, thank you, don’t recognise three pins in a row, but must have used them previously..I’ll have to dig through my “holiday cupboard” in search of something.

Most plugs don't have the middle prong.  A European adapter will work.

So we have a "universal adapter" that reminds me of a rubics cube and it worked in Europe.....So that should be good for Chile?

I had purchased something advertised as a "universal adaptor"  that had many possibilities for adaptors but none for South America. The Marriott had some we could borrow. (we only needed it for 2 nights pre cruise.)

Just returned from Chile……European, two round pin adapter worked for us.

So my "universal adapter" did work.  Had to figure out all the configurations but we were good to go!
