Thinking about booking Celebrity out of San Juan PR. Looking at Oct 2024. Last cruise out of San Juan we were on RCI, I take it RCI no longer goes out of San Juan. Never been on Celebrity but they have some good sales going on? We do like the Southern ports. What our the Good or Bad of Celebrity and how does it compare to RCI..   Also we have been on Carinval and Disney...Thanks

RC goes out of San Juan. We like the differences and the similarities between RC and Celebrity. A huge plus is no indoor smoking on Celebrity, fleetwide. That also includes the casino. Your CAS tier level with RC is reciprocal up to Elite with Celebrity's CC.

We enjoy sailing Celebrity out of San Juan (or almost anywhere).  We did sail RCCL out of San Juan and the large number of family groups and kids who seemed to take over public spaces all day and night made it a less pleasant experience for us as we wanted to listen to music or visit with friends and often couldn't find a space.

Yes, they do. 72 cruises are currently on their schedule that leave from and return to San Juan.

Yes I know that. Cruised out of San Juan many times. That's exactly what I said. "RC goes out of San Juan".

My favorite sailing is Celebrity out of San Juan. For me, one of the best advantages of leaving from San Juan is that there are usually not as many sea days and more port days. As for Celebrity ships, they don't attract as many children as Royal would (I am a teacher and could only sail on school breaks).  Unfortunately these days, Celebrity out of San Juan is too rare.
