How to not automatically split OBC with cabin mates

I have never seen OBC split. To start each person receives their own OBC on their account. The splitting comes when the accounts are linked to a single credit card. In that situation there is a summary account which links all charges and nets the amounts against any summary debit or credit balance. To avoid the summary account each person needs to have their own credit card so the accounts are not linked.

Either have I. This really isn't an issue.

The Carnival Corp Shareholder Benefit states: "Only one onboard credit per shareholder-occupied stateroom."  It has in my case always been applied to my name, as that is first on the share certificate.

If the 2 occupants of the cabin don't have linked accounts, then the benefit should only apply to the one shareholder.

I have no idea what happens if both occupants in unlinked accounts are eligible for the benefit.

Hubby and I always travel with separate credit cards.  When applying for the shareholders OBC, I request that the money is placed in my name and not hubby’s. He absolutely hates to deal with OBC and prefers that I handle any and all on board charges.
