Prebuy VIBE pass then switch to obc once onboard ship?

Apparently ncl now sells ALL Vibe slots online so even if you're the 1st onboard the ship, it's sold out.

 

I have lots of non-refundable obc.

 

Has anyone successfully gotten the prebuy of the vibe pass switched to obc once you're onboard?

(I got a yes and no answers from 2 different people at guest services onboard the ship)
