We are going on the Adriatic Delights cruise on the Marella Explorer 2. Does anyone have any tips on shore excursions?

Hi any tips or information on excursions or general tips on the Marella Explorer 2? We are also staying for a week in Dubrovnik after the cruise.

It would help to know your stops, most of the Adriatic is doable on your own particularly Split and Ancona, you literally step off the ship and you're in the town, we just did some googling of the area before we went. Dubrovnik is lovely very pretty lots to see and do on your own. hth

Just booked our excursions for the sail 3 seas cruise in May - mostly walking tours this time.

 

The excursions we have been on previously with Marella have been very good , great guides and very well organised and a reasonable price. 

 

If we have been to any of the ports before we do our own thing usually.

If it’s a new port we always do a ship booked excursion.

We prefer to know we won’t get left behind if we are late or if there are any problems we will be looked after as opposed to a non ship booked excursion

 

The Adriatic is lovely - have a good cruise.

Thank you, we did our own excursion in Madeira, but wondered about this cruise.
