on my last princess cruise i received an invitation for $150 free casino play on my next cruise if i booked before march 29.  i booked my cruise through my usual travel agent and he called to add the free play.  they said i did not qualify.  so today i called the casino number and was told that my agent should have called THEM to book the cruise and that is why i do not qualify  i certainly did not get that when i read the offer.  so be forewarned.  should i still present the invite to the casino manager on my cruise and hope that he will be able to offer me some free play or is that too aggresive?.  thoughts?

Casino comp and free play cruises are only available when you book through Princess.  You can use the casino department, a Princess CVP or as it turns out future cruise group on a ship (I just booked on the Emerald for a free balcony upgraded to a full suite for a Hawaii cruise in 2024).  The main thing is you can only book them through Princess not outside TA’s

We received a flyer in our cabin for $150 each for casino free play.  It states right on the flyer that in order to book this offer we or our travel agent must call a specific number.  Also, when I have used this type of offer in the past and was going to use the offer on my booking, I told my TA that they must call the number provided to ensure we got the offer.

I've gotten free play when booking a cruise through my TA.  They can input the codes in too.  In fact I can even book my comps through her too.  But after a nightmare experience with a casino comp she no longer wants to book them because there's no commission for her and it's a PITA to get answers.  So I go direct for my comped cruises and deal with the headaches myself.
