MSC Meraviglia Tennis Rackets and Balls?

On the Meraviglia there ist the Sportplex. Can wie play Tennis and rent Rackets and Balls?
Our Kids love Tennis and we travel from Europe to Florida, but don't like to pack Rackets and Balls.

No tennis and no equipment to rent

The last time, 2017 there was sometimes tennis in the sportlex, there is a net, but I don't know it there are also rackets and balls.

 

@mscdivina2016have you requested for rackets and balls? Or why do yo know that?

@Tierun Yes, I know that, but sometimes they are playing tennis on your last Meraviglia cruise.

We actually had pickleball equipment with us that we used at a resort in the Bahamas and wondered if we could use in the sportsplex. So we inquired. Was told no and no tennis either.   That was less than two weeks ago.

I was just on Mera 2 weeks ago and didn’t see anything other than basketball and soccer.

There's no tennis.  It would not make good use of limited space on a ship to have that much square footage being used by 2 (possibly 4) tennis players when there could be a whole gaggle of teens playing basketball or soccer.

But most oft the day the sportplex was empty on the Grandiosa and Meraviglia. On Grandiosa and also on Meraviglia in 2017 they are playing some times Tennis. The older MSC Ships have all a tennis court.

None of that alters the answers given by above posters, our experience has been the same....no tennis! 🙄

Obviously tennis is highly important to you, best sail one of the older ships you mention.😉

I hope the above link works, it was posted back in February after I had asked about playing pickleball on board and one poster replied that they have a tennis net and were able to use that with their own pickleball rackets.

We are on board now and there is every morning a 2.5 h Pickleball time slot and also in the afternoon 1.5 h. So no problem to play! There are always some people to play there. Thats fun!

Do they have paddles and balls available to use? Previous posters had brought their own with them

Yes there is all material in the sportplex avilable to use.

Thanks, that’s good to know. Glad I don’t have to find room in my suitcase to bring my own!
