Getting to Sagrada Familia Basilica from hotel 1.3 miles (2 km) away

We are staying at this hotel in the Eixample district:

It is only a few blocks from a couple of the places we want to go to, but is 1.3 miles (2 km) from the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia.  Is this "walkable" for a family of four from our hotel?  Alternatively, will a cab driver or Uber get mad if we take a cab for only 1.3 miles?  I know in the US they get mad if you take a cab such a short distance. Is there another way to get there?

Taxi should work well.  It is likely that they can pick up another fare at Sagrada Familia.  We have used taxis for short hops in Barcelona.  Save your energy.

I have never had a problem getting a taxi for a relatively short distance in Barcelona. Alternatively you could walk the few blocks to Diagonal metro station and go the two stops to Sagrada Familia station. Or you could simply walk to Sagrada Familia from your hotel and then get a taxi to your next stop. Have a wonderful time in Barcelona!

We did both Uber and taxi in Barcelona. Not a problem with either one. And we were traveling fairly short distances between points of interest. 
 

The only time we were somewhat stuck for a bit was when our taxi driver had a “low tire pressure” light come on and he insisted that we get off the taxi and take a different one. So he stopped at a somewhat non touristy place and dropped us off there. It took a while for another taxi to drive by. But outside of that, taxis were plentiful near attractions and points of interest.
