Shabbat service?

A friend on an O trip in February (to the Western Caribbean) said there was a short Shabbat service on Friday evening.  Is this a common practice on all itineraries? Is there a way to find out if it’ll be offered on ours?

In the mid 80s we where sailing into Leningrad on a Saturday on the Royal cruise lines Royal Oddysey .

A few of us asked to have Friday night services. The purrser asked us how many pray shawls we needed how many prayer books and how many skull caps.  We said around 20 he then told us this ship was formally the S.S. Slalom so they had hundreds of these items in storage .

The we realised all the painting on the ship where Shigal.

Dear Sujormik:

To add some additional information to your query regarding Shabbot Services I will relate my recent experience.  Lay led (not staff) Shabbot Services are offered in the Library at 6:30 p. m. and detailed in Currents. Red and white Kosher wine and challah are provided along with a condensed prayer book.  Since many cruises begin on Friday there is a service on embarkation day.

Thank you all so much for your replies.  I get to book dinners tomorrow and wanted to have a sense of whether to try for a late seating and couldn’t find a word anywhere.

Chag Pesach Sameach to anyone celebrating.❤️

Thank you, my wife is. Guess who has to eat all of the chametz for her, LOL?

Wonder how they know who to invite?🤣

I would think it would be in Currents announcing the Seder dinner and asking people who want to attend to notify them.

They have it listed in the Currents every week on the Insignia ATW cruise, held in the Library, “led by a guest”.   Tonight, they are having a Passover Seder Dinner in the Terrace Cafe…

Last years Seder was wonderful. Was outdoors in Waves area.
