Darjulian Posted April 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Hi, hope I can get some advice. Cruising on Symphony departing Civitavecchia on May 28. Is the Day 1 menu used for this group. This cruise can also depart from Barcelona on May 25 What themed menu do each departure point use? Totally confused. Ian and Julie
gingerpeaches Posted April 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2023 I'm on this same itinerary on Symphony in August, but departing from Barcelona. When I look at "Main Dining" in the RC app, it shows me the menus for each day. Your cruise is in May so the menus should definitely be there. Open the app Tap "Dining" Tap "Main Dining" Tap on one of the dining rooms Tap "Menu" Scroll across and tap on the day you want to see the menus for each day. My embarkation menu is the Welcome Aboard menu. Day 2 is British Night. Day 3 is French Night, Day 4 is Mediterranean, Day 5 (Rome embarkation day) is Italian Night, Day 6 is Bon Voyage, Day 7 is Royal Night.
Rare FionaMG Posted April 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2023 (edited) This is known as "interporting". The menu rotations are based on whatever is considered the "main" departure port for the itinerary in question. In this case, that is Barcelona, so for guests departing from Rome, this means the menu rotation will be out of kilter as they do not serve two different menu rotations. To see what menus are served on what days you need to check the menus on the Barcelona sailings and superimpose your dates. Ian and Julie It’s the same menu rotation; you just join it later in the week… so with the order posted by @gingerpeaches you’ll start with Italian / Bon voyage / royal / welcome / British / French and then finally Mediterranean Edited April 15, 2023 by little britain
Nunagoras Posted April 15, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Yes, as the others have said, main embarkation port for Oasis class in Europe is Barcelona. Civitavecchia is secondary port. FYI: In my sailing before the pandemic when lady Allure first come to Europe, the proportion was more or less 4500 guests in Barcelona versus 1500 in Civitavecchia. That said all dining and entertainment schedule will follow the main port: Barcelona.
