Switching people among staterooms

Hello,

We are a family of 5 sailing end o May to Norway on the Fantasia. We have a balcony stateroom and the inside across. The inside is 2 adults and one child and the balcony is 2 adults.

when booking I called and went back and forth that the third bed in the inside is a pullman.. She was insisting it was a highbed (I was confused on what she meant with that). I insisted per deckplan it's pullman.. This "child" is a rather large 17 year old...

So will our stateroom attendent 1. be the same for both rooms if across 2. be ok with having that 3rd from the inside sleep on the couch in the balcony officially with turndown? Or can we just not say anything and do the couch ourselvesv ( are they easy to do yourselves)? not sure if it's an issue if 1. stateroom attendents are different - hotel service fee issue 2. fare might be higher if 3rd is officially in balcony...

FYI this child was "free" anyways..

thanks!

Hotel service charge is the same for everyone in your case.

Just tell the steward for the balcony stateroom that you would like the sofa bed made into a bed in the evening and put away back into a sofa during the day. If it's the same steward for the inside, just tell him/her to not prepare the 3rd bed for the inside.

There shouldn't be a problem.

Are you sure that the sofa is a sofa bed?  Also, your teen will not be able to get a key card for the balcony cabin.  While that is commonly done on other lines, MSC does not do it.  They do not switch cards around or issue extra keys.  If you were on a newer class of ship one of the guests in the balcony could get a bracelet that would work like the cabin card and give it to the teen,  but that technology is not yet on the Fantasia class.
The upper bunks unfortunately are mounted on the side walls,  it when deployed they are the same size as a twin.  Many adults have slept in them.  EM
