Unfortunately its not. It's a lowcost Spanish airline that only fly Mon, Wed and Sat from Barcelona to Gothenburg Sweden. The flight on Wed cost 60 eur, still cheap but I can't really take 3 full days off the week after the cruise since we will take 7 days before the cruise in Greece.

aw so sad!

On eight occasions now all with RCCL and five of them on “o “ class ships we’ve always been off the ship and in a taxi by 08.00.

There are literally hundreds lined up and the transfer is about 20 minutes.

Perhaps we’ve been lucky these are normally Sunday flights but never had a problem getting the flight back to the U.K. that usually departs between 10.30 and 10.50

That’s encouraging. The Symphony itinerary says arrival at Barcelona port is 5:00 am, so surely passengers could start walking off with luggage self-assist by 7:00 am? That sounds like plenty of time to be at airport by 8:30, three hours ahead of departure time. Thanks.

You can check which ships are coming into port with you, and therefore how busy the airport and port will be. On our cruise this Spring there are five ships but we are expected to get in first by at least an hour.  As others have said there are long lines of taxis waiting and it's a short drive to the airport in Barcelona. Last year we got there so early we had to hang around for over an hour before they even opened checkin/bag drop.

Passport checks and security checks are a bit of a zoo but the queue moves quickly

We had a 10:25 flight from Barcelona to Lisbon (for a few days post cruise).  We carried our stuff off the ship and took a taxi to the pier and don't recall having any issues.  I believe we were off the ship by 7:30 and at the airport by 8.
