cruzin girl Posted March 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Can anyone tell me if Hal uses syrup for their coffee as Princess does.(hoping not) and if Hal carries the little replica ships in their gift shop. Just curious. Thanks:)
FlorenceItaly Posted March 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I have the Zuiderdam right on top of my monitor, lol. My home office is cruise themed, LOL. Even though I am an avid coffee drinker, I do not know the answer to your question. Happy Cruising! Marie
May4 Posted March 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I've seen the gentlemen working in the Lido open packets of ground coffee which are emptied into the coffee maker/dispensers. Out comes pretty good coffee IMO!:)
cruzin girl Posted March 12, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted March 12, 2006 THANKS for the info. marie! I love collecting them along with the mugs on each ship that I visit. They make great souvenirs.
cruzin girl Posted March 12, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I am glad to hear this MAY4. I really am not really a picky coffee drinker but princess coffee is very bitter to me and I have to dilute it down with water and drown it with cream to choke it down. cruzin girl Posted March 12, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I also missed our first one and the ship no longer sails. When I was on a Princess ship they were out in their gift shop so I got on the cruise critic message boards when I got home and found someone that was kind enough to get me a ship when she sailed a couple of months later.:)
tomc Posted March 12, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 12, 2006 When I began to suspect that Rotterdam V wasn't long for this world, I began picking up all sorts of little trinkets with its name/likeness on it. It was a grand old gal and I wanted to remember it as my first ship (actually, my only ship for the seven cruises I had been on so far). I've all sorts of RotterV stuff in my room and office now. FlorenceItaly Posted March 12, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 12, 2006 pick up a t-shirt each cruise with the name of the ship on it. I don't pick up a ship replica each cruise, but do get a t-shirt. I currently have one RCI and one HAL ship replica. Along with cruising I LOVE Vegas, and have a replica of the traditional "Welcome to Las Vegas Nevada" also in my office. I love the flashing lights, and turn it on every day, lol. Marie
