Rare LoungerOnBalcony55 Posted April 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2023 Yes I checked the website already. It's a bunch of out-of-date information that doesn't provide a clear answer. Does anyone know what the current policy/procedures are? I assume they don't just say "Take some Nyquil and come aboard anyway!" Or do they? detwings Posted April 21, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2023 You DON'T go on the cruise if you test POSITIVE for COVID. Period.
Rare kernow Posted April 21, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2023 I'm fairly sure they would tell you to claim on your own insurance, that's what MSC were doing even when they still had restrictions.

They filled out the question form and they all got administered a Covid test. 2 passed 2 failed. The two that passed got on the ship. The other 2 did not and were told to take it up with their insurance. The couple that did get on wanted the other couples cabin and were told no??? Their reservations were linked they said 1

I'm with you personally, but if MSC's position is "take it up with insurance" they are - in essence - encouraging people with Covid to still board their ships. This is a far stretch. People need to be responsible and get insurance if they are worried about losing money.

Their reservations were linked they said I agree with MSC on this one. Regardless of whether or not the cabins were linked, if they had not booked that specific cabin then then had zero claim to it, imo.

Insurance requires an in-person doctor visit - a photo of an at-home test won't cut it - so yeah the practical effect is encouraging sick people to sail anyway. Boozy O Croozy Posted April 22, 2023 #11 Share Posted April 22, 2023 If they don't allow you back onto the ship, what happens to all of your belongings still in the cabin???
tscoffey Posted April 22, 2023 #12 Share Posted April 22, 2023 Not sure what it is, but they'll tell you the policy in the following language order: English Spanish German Italian French
