Upgrade Bidding email - more than one invite?

If you receive an initial email with minimum bids on cabins, and the minimum bid is still really high - has anyone received further emails with lower minimum bid options? Just curious.

Yes, my first email I thought was high. The second was only $5 less. I’ve gotten two or three more emails this month and they haven’t changed from the $5 ‘discount’.

The prices for my cruise are the same as if I just upgraded to the suites. If I really wanted a suite - I would just pay for it.

That’s exactly what I noticed. Not really sure what the point of this exercise of bidding actually achieves, other than a “perceived” deal that leads to spending more. I guess that’s the point!

I went from an inside cabin to a premium deluxe aft balcony on an 8 day Alaskan cruise for only 245 pp.  That was a significant savings over booking the aft myself.  It really depends on what categories you're moving between whether the cost difference is worth it.

We upgraded to a Suite from a CC Mini on the Enchanted TA in March and we paid 2K less per passenger than the Princess website page.  I guess it just varies from cruise to cruise.

I have not gotten more emails but I have logged into the bidding site at a later date and seen starting bids lower than they showed in the original email
