How does MSC do casino rewards?

I’ve only sailed MSC as a solo cruiser and have paid my fare just like a normal person. My wife is a big slot machine player and so we almost always sail for free on all the lines where we’ve been together. All those companies send her brochures with great offers like free suites, casino free play, free drinks, etc. Usually there are tons of different ships, dates and destinations to choose from. Since we started cruising she’s never paid a cruise fare. They’ve all been comped.

We’ve been considering booking an MSC cruise together with the idea that after the first one she will be on MSC’s casino comp list and will get free offers, but that’s an assumption. How does MSC reward their casino big spenders? Is it similar to Princess or Celebrity or do they do their own thing?

If you send me a DM, I can send you a link for a site that uses free cruise certificates to get you a casino offer on your first MSC cruise.

regarding your question, you get points as you play. They have a chart, which you can see, that shows what room you get for how many points. The number changes based off cruise length.

It won't let me send you a DM.

1500 points=10% off

5000 points= free cruise

This was announced MANY times on my Feb. Divina cruise & also showed up on the screen on the machines.

I am on the Meraviglia right now and the machines say 9999 points for a free cruise.

Interesting...wonder why it would be different on different ships?

Perhaps a newer larger ship requires more points? (assuming free cruise is on the same ship)

It still is 10,000 points for a 7-11 day worldwide cruise interior room.  The 5000 point free cruise is up to 5 days in the USA only interior room.  The 8,000 points is 7-9 day USA only interior room

on my last MSC Cruise I was given a Dinner Certificate for $60. I had only played for 3 hours and won a little.

What does 3 hours equal in points? Or better yet, how does one know how many points they are accumulating? Is it by time spent at various types of play, money lost, etc.? We are not big gamblers but we do spend time in the casino when we need some extra cash for tips. How would we know if we are on the verge of some type of reward and we should keep at it for a little while longer?

I don't remember how many points I earned but certainly not enough for a free cruise. I noticed

one of the men was looking at my play, so that probably initiated the free dinner.
