First time to Alaska, Excursions advice wanted!!

Forgot to mention, will be on a cruise in Sept, in icy strait, on the Crown princess an will be watchin for whales again!!!

If you can afford it, do the Dog Sled/Helicopter ride.  We loved it. We did it in Skagway.  Our Musher, Riley Dyche made the experience memorable.  He finished 18th in this years Iditarod.

Totally has my vote as one of the best excursions ever!  The views flying to the dog camp on the glacier were breathtaking and the dog camp was great fun.  It's one of the very few pictures taken on an excursion that I have framed.  Looking at it right now.
