Crusin Karen Posted April 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2023 I was reading another post asking if you can bring on cans of soda in ports. One of the responses was you can bring soda and wine but no liquor. Can you bring a bottle of wine on in ports? TIA
Old Fart Cruisers Posted April 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2023 Any wine brough on in U.S. ports will be held until the last night of the cruise. on European cruises, you can bring wine on at each port.

Crusin Karen Posted April 30, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted April 30, 2023 Thanks. I knew that but after reading that response I was kind of hoping CCL changed it's policy. I've often wondered why it's permitted in Europe but not in USA.

akane161 Posted May 1, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2023 So am I understanding that while in Europe we can bring on a bottle of wine each day we are in a port? Thank you!
Old Fart Cruisers Posted May 1, 2023 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2023 You can bring as many bottles as you want at each port in Europe🥴. I asked one of the crew members working security entering the ship last year (on the Pride), how many bottles we are allowed to bring on at each port. He said "If you can buy it, you can bring it on board." Then he laughed and said "But just remember that's not how it works back home."

Actually she said "Cruises that start and end in the US, they collect all adult beverages in ports" You can bring as much alcohol on board bought in Europe on a transatlantic cruise heading back to the United States. You may have to deal with customs if you bring back more than the allowable limits.😁
