Priority boarding in Miami.

The NCL rep said there was a priority security line for my upcoming cruise.  I’ve read elsewhere that in Miami everyone uses the same security and the line gets long regardless of status. Can anyone familiar with Miami give me some insight in what to expect?   Thanks in advance!!!

You only received Priority security check-in if you have some sort of status that is listed on your cruise documents.  Being in a Suite or a Haven Suite qualifies!

If you have PRIORITY on your document, look for the "Haven" sign, or ask one of the port workers, who should point you in the correct direction.

Only Haven guests have private security in the Haven check-in area in the Miami Terminal B.

Everyone else goes through the same security line. Once you are beyond the security checkpoint, there will be a line for Priority Access (i.e., purchased priority service) which is usually combined with top-tier latitudes.

Security in Miami Terminal B is relatively quick since they have the automated system to process all handcarry.

All lines go to the same check-in counter.

If you are in the Haven, the will escort you up a private elevator to the Haven check-in area

Wasn’t super clear sorry!  I have priority access.  The rep was adamant there was a priority security line. I was skeptical hence my post.  Hurry up and wait as always. Thanks all for your help!!!

The more I read the NCL forums, the more I realize NCL just tells you what you want to hear be it right or wrong.

That's easy to get confused.

For example, at NOLA, there is priority access but it also is after the security line.

Yep.  The lady who sold me the program told me two things that are, unfortunately, outright falsehoods.  Because both of these items were NOT in the online literature I questioned her at length on both. Fair warning, there is not separate security entry line for priority and your luggage tags are not marked for priority delivery to your stateroom. Disappointing to say the least.

We are Sapphire and boarded the Sky on Friday from the Miami terminal.  Once past security, the line for general check-in had no wait. There were four other couples with us in Priority boarding including some who paid for it like you. We left the priority line to check-in with the general line. Based on the time they arrived, it was probably not really worth the cost as it didn’t save any time.
