Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2379 Share Posted June 5, 2023 It was really really peaceful out there. Even the cows agreed.
Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2380 Share Posted June 5, 2023 Our boatman had a cool donkey Kong shirt on and worked so hard to speak with us in English with what he learned in high school in La Rochelle. He did an amazing job. His teacher should be proud of him.

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2382 Share Posted June 5, 2023 We arrived in Coulon, tied up the boats, and were given about forty minutes to explore. It’s a very small and very quaint (and very French) place

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2384 Share Posted June 5, 2023 The pulpit in that church was elevated and overlooked the street below because of how much this village flooded back in the day

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2390 Share Posted June 5, 2023 We (and most of our tour) popped in here because it was about the only thing open. Everything over here either opens late or closes for few hours in the afternoon. Problem is, at this point we were almost out of time. B just grabbed a chocolate banana ice cream cone (forgot to get a pic) but some folks sat down and got made to order crepes with less than ten minutes left to meet the guide and walk to the bus. We ended up being considerably late (and stuck standing in the sun for a while) because of a handful of people
Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2391 Share Posted June 5, 2023 Once everyone showed up, it was a long meandering walk to the bus down back alleys and past RV parks made it!

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2393 Share Posted June 5, 2023 We had missed the famous dirt piles of La Rochelle Compared to the rest of our trip, this felt like boarding a plane on the tarmac

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 5, 2023 Author #2397 Share Posted June 5, 2023 Decided to mix it up. Main lido pool has the DJ bumping, which is nice for a change when I’ve been the adult contemporary zone in serenity all week…. but I don’t love the half covered vibe, so let’s do lido pool two. Music is middle of the road too.
