Captain Vito announced we’re going 23 knots and won’t reduce our speed until we hit the Dover strait and traffic increases. We currently have a marine layer of clouds that should dissipate by 1-2pm. 
 

some parts of the ship on 10, 11, and forward are 9 are currently secured for our safety. He’ll open what he can as winds calm (currently over 30 knots).

 

water is only 200 ft deep at this point, which gives it a greenish tint. He says that historically this has been a treacherous area for navigation and many well known wrecks are in the area. 
 

tomorrow at 6am we will be going through a set of locks to enter Amsterdam canal. I’m very intrigued! Never been through locks!
