This is where university students would meet during the era of dictatorship and scheme…. They had a secret code of scratching their heads as if they had lice if secret police is near, so today many call it “headlice”….

we had a traditional soup with kale, chorizo, and garlic, and a Jewish sausage made from chicken with a crunchy casing

Next spot - Taxca. Roast pork, chicken gizzards (I know! But when in Portugal….), bread, codfish cakes…. And the hottest sauce I’ve ever had - puts Halal Guys’ red sauce to shame
