Skagen, Denmark: Taxi, Shore Excursions or other options for visiting the town/Grenen

Hi everyone, we have a stop at Skagen in July.  I have thought about the  bike rentals, but not sure others in the group would be up for that.  Does anyone know of a company or individual who provides a service or tour in this  port?  I found a company Cruiseskagen, but it seems they only work with cruise lines now.  Nothing on the usual booking sites. Thanks in advance.

You’re right - Cruiseskagen is only working with the cruise line. I’ll see if I can find any tour providers in Skagen tomorrow - getting late here in Denmark.

Hopefully there are others who can also contribute.

There are not many options for excursions or transport apart from taxi or bicycle rental - it is of course possible to walk the 4 km from the harbor to Grenen.

It is a very easy cycle ride to Grenen - you have to walk the last part.

A bike ride is a good way to see Skagen.

 

One option is to contact a local taxi - link to web where some have an email.

Thank you very much.  Very helpful information.  I am leaning towards the bike rental. I think it’s a wonderful way to get around.  I Will share your comments with others,

Thank you @hallasm for the above information. We are back from our cruise.  
 

We ended up booking a taxi through  Dantaxi with another couple and saw the major sites in about 3.5 hours.  This included hiking the sand dunes and walking out to Grenen as the Sandworm wasn’t running yet.  He picked us up at the port and dropped us in town. The shuttle back to the ship was not free despite what we were told on the ship, but a nominal charge,(cash).  Not sure if you could purchase tics somewhere else using a card, as we just hopped on.

 

 I think the taxi costs us about $130 US per couple.  We ended up using cash- DKK as the other couple was Canadian. You could use a credit card.   I could not get  the DanTaxi app to work but I emailed Anne who made the arrangements.  Anne stated Dantaxi has a “few” taxis in Skagen.
