Rum cakes at the Dockyard ?

I just found a post with an article about the closing of the glasswork/rum cake factory back in late 2021.

 

Obviously it is not a question of life and death but I would like to buy a couple of cakes while in Bermuda. Is there a shop at the dockyard or in Hamilton where they sell the rum cakes ?

When we were there last year, someone in the craft shop was selling a limited supply of rum cakes.  I remember it was hard to find them that year, no matter where we went.

I think Bermuda Fudge Company (little pink stall at Dockyard) also sells "boozey rum cakes" according to their FB page.

It is unfortunate that the glassworks/rum cakes place has shut down but they rum cakes are still being made and sold on the island. I think if you check a few shops you will be able to find them, The craft market is obvious place to check but another place to check is the Dockyard Pharmacy.

Here in my hometown, excellent fudge can be foud "easily", but not run cakes. I won't go out of my way to find it in Bermuda but if I find one at the pharmacy of the craft market I will get one...or 2 😉

One not-so-obvious spot selling rum cakes (we found on our December cruise)... Oleander Cycles, a scooter rental store. A couple of doors down from the pharmacy.

When I was in Bermuda last July there were a couple shops in the dockyard that sold rum cakes.   I bought some in the clock tower mall but also saw them in the pharmacy and elsewhere.

We purchased a rum cake in the liquor shop on the Summit this past June.

The can also be bought on Amazon.

Not the same as the Bermuda rum cakes.

Sad that the cake store plus the glassblowing business has been closed.

The Bermuda Fudge Company that has stand in the Dockyard also has rum cakes now but not the same ones as the Glassblowing/cake store. The fudge is good but I have not had their cakes.

The rum cakes were being sold in the craft market.  The fudge store also sold rum cakes.
