We will be on the Getaway, in Lisbon, and the sailing time is 8:00pm. I was wondering if we can check in early, leave the ship to explore Lisbon and return at "all aboard" time of 6:00pm? TIA

How does that work?  Do they have a separate gangway that bypasses the normal boarding system if you've already checked-in?

They would have a separate boarding procedure for those returning to the ship like they do when people are doing B2B's and want to spend time at that port.

Depends on port.

most we have used you just bypass the check in desk bit the rest of the boarding path is the same Security etc.

Sometimes they have multiple boarding gangways but often just one and those getting off squeeze past the ones getting on.

Lisbon main terminal once upto the boarding level there is security then a duty free then you walk to the ship.

Can't remember where the check-in would be as it has always been a port visit not embark.
