Is the coffee in the dining room better than the coffee in the buffet?

I think that people are more apt to write about their bad experience than their good experience.

We will be on the Getaway, in Lisbon, and the sailing time is 8:00pm. I was wondering if we can check in early, leave the ship to explore Lisbon and return at "all aboard" time of 6:00pm? TIA

I was recently on the Celebrity Apex in Southampton, Portland,UK and Cobh, Ireland and alcohol was being served in these ports. NCL doesn't want to pay the taxes.

Hello Jim and Iain, I enjoyed meeting you in the Retreat Lounge. It's nice to put a face with your posts. I have been reading your posts for awhile. I enjoy them and have received a lot of good information from you. I especially like your great photos. I take photos of doors too - Europe has the best doors! We had a similar experience last night at Luminae. We arrived at 6:15 and finished at 8:15. The wait staff was doing their timely job so I think the kitchen was the problem. The halibut was good but over cooked. We addressed the issue with the restaurant manager.

Captain said 2650 passengers.

That's how I do my Irish coffee too. I'm hoping to have an authentic one in Cobh.

We drove to B50 and parked in the large lot there. There was a shuttle bus that took us to the ship, which was a few blocks away. On return to B93 there were shuttle busses to take us back to our car. It was very easy and little waiting.

I don't think that some of the menus, on the app, are correct. I have looked, on the app, at the dining room menus and all it shows is the kids menu and the vegetarian. It's been this way for at least a week. I wonder if Celebrity is in the process of updating them.

We did the same thing on Saturday - upgraded to a Sky Suite on the Apex TA in April. It will be difficult to go back to a veranda.😉

We're thinking of reserving 3 forward facing ocean view staterooms on deck 10. This will be on a Getaway Mediterranean cruise. Any negatives about staying in these rooms? TIA

The NCL Getaway will port in Ibiza on Sunday, June 18, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. NCL isn't offering much for shore excursions. Is there anything to do in port that late on a Sunday? Is there a free shuttle from port to the city center? TIA

We booked a deck 5 Ocean View cabin on the Getaway. Does anyone know what's on Deck 4? Just wondering how much noise we might experience. TIA

If you have an inside cabin on deck 5 will you be able to hear the shows at the Ilusionarium on deck 6? Just wondering if it will be noisy above us? TIA

We were on the Oct 29 sailing and returned yesterday. The Solstice was at Berth 46 for embarkation. If you drive, like we did, there was a large parking lot at a make shift terminal at 46. You drop your luggage there and also check in and go through security. A shuttle will take you to the Solstice which is about 2 blocks away. We returned to Beth 93. You only have to return to 46 if you parked your car there. A shuttle is provided which can hold your luggage and has a lift that allows for wheelchair passengers. You disembark at 93, pick up your luggage, and go through the facial recognition ICE. There is a line for those needing transportation to airports. If you are going to 46 to pick up your car there is a shuttle provided. We left the ship at 9:00 and were in our car and on the road by 9:40. It was very fast and easy.

Thank you for the responses. I am assuming we will park near B93 and get bussed to B50. Does anyone know what we do with our luggage? Take it on the bus? I am hoping that we will get some instruction from Celebrity closer to sail date. Thank you.

We are sailing on Celebrity Solstice on 10/29/22. Looking at the port schedule, it shows the Solstice leaves from Berth 50 and returns to Berth 93. We are driving from the Phoenix area. Does anyone know if there is parking at Berth 50? If we park at Berth 50, how would we get to our car if we return to Berth 93? It looks like there is considerable distance between the two berths. TIA
