suekel Posted May 30, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2023 Anyone who has sailed the last couple weeks in the Caribbean...Are you seeing any effects of the Sargassum that is working it's way across the Atlantic? I'll be on the CB in a couple of weeks and have some beach days planned and curious what it is like. I have asked in the specific port boards but not having any luck. That would depend in which islands you are visiting and more importantly which way the coasts of the beaches you want to go to face.
CaptainPedantic Posted May 30, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2023 We were on Caribbean Princess 6-20 May and didn't notice any problems with Sargassum on any of the beaches we visited.

Mostly concerned with Roatan. Beach is on the north end of the island.

We spent some time on the west side of the island near Luna Beach, no issues there.
