Private transfer recs Southampton to London

Recommended Posts

I am looking for recommendations for a private car/van transfer for four adults with luggage from Cunard cruise port in Southampton to Biltmore in Mayfair.  We will be arriving on July 14, 2023.  Thanks so much.

we were thinking about trying to put together an private transfer from Southampton to London that would include a stop at Stonehenge.  Any recommendations?

Thanks!

All of the suggested operators on this thread (and on the "sticky" thread at the top of this forum) will quote for a tour-transfer to London via Stonehenge, or anywhere else.

Stonehenge adds about 35 minutes / 30 miles to the drive, plus waiting time at Stonehenge (75 to 90 minutes is about right for most folk - you will have to say how long you will spend there in order to get a fixed quote).

If this is on a busy day of the week / time of day / time of year you are very strongly advised to pre-book Stonehenge tickets, choosing a half-hour time window for arrival (no limit how long you can stay there).. This is because numbers are capped - if you haven't pre-booked or you miss your arrival time-slot you will have to wait until numbers are below capacity - not only will that mean wasting your own time it will add to the cost of your transfer.

An alternative is a door-to-door shared bus tour-transfer from ship to Heathrow or central London hotels. It serves most cruise ships arriving in Southampton (or Dover) .

One of those tour-transfers includes Salisbury, Stonehenge (90 minutes) and Windsor.

International Friends is a long-established & reputable coach operator used by many Cruise Critic members.

The price quoted doesn't include admission, but you can buy Stonehenge tickets with your tour-transfer tickets - and you're strongly recommended to do so, because Stonehenge tickets bought via coach operators are good for admission at any time, no need to quote an arrival time.
