Any sites, shops walkable from ship in Sydney Cape B, Corner Brook NF or Saquenay

Hi we are contemplating booking a cruise from Quebec City with stops at Saquenay, Corner Brook NF and Sydney Cape Breton.  Is there anything worth seeing nearby (walkable) at those ports?

Depends on what you consider  worth seeing ?

 

I would look at the tourism websites for those ports & see what interests you

In Sydney there are a number of shops right at the cruise pavillion.  The downtown area is a very short walk away.  There are shops but it is a small downtown, one main street.  There are also restaurants around.  The very best of Cape Breton is outside of Sydney unfortunately but there is still stuff to do downtown. They usually have a walking tour of the historic North end (right where the cruise terminal is).

We were just there May 30 on the Zaandam.  Not much to see in the small town.  We walked from the ship, through the terminal, up a walkway and then up another small incline to the main street.  Which, by the way, is all torn up for resurfacing, so some obstacles to go around.  Friendly people.  We happened upon one small coffee shop just off the main street.  Though quite plain, quite a few trendy offerings.  Looked as if everyone but us were locals.  A large, old church nearby had been turned into a small theater. 

Walked some more, by a different but large, white church, Sacred Heart, I think, but it was locked.  Back in terminal, shopped and were pleasantly surprised to find a vendor selling tee shirts 2/$20!  Others of course, plus hoodies, more.

A pleasant way to get our steps in but, as I said, not much to see in town.  Take a tour?
