Group shore excursion tour operators

Hey all,

 

We're a group of 13 people on the NCL encore Alaska cruise (August departure). Are there any local tour operators that could help organize shore excursions for our group. I feel like it might be good going through a group tour operator rather than the cruise excursion desk since we can then all tour together.

 

Any and all recommendations highly appreciated. Would also love if anyone has recommendations for shore excursions.

I’m not sure why you would use a booking agent instead of going through the ship.  The price will likely not be significantly cheaper and some tours are exclusive to the ship. You also don’t have the guarantee the ship will wait for you if you are delayed.  Google Alaska shore excursions and a number of booking agents will pop up.

Have you looked around the board? Every port is covered extensively, with several private tour operators mentioned in each port.

If you post your ports and what excursions you are looking for - it may help. I would approach it differently and work directly with shore excursion company as opposed to a booking company. You will probably only be dealing with 4 companies or so.

 

For example - you can probably find a whale watching company in Hoonah, Icy Strait Point for 13.  I know Glacier Wind has a 13 passenger boat.

 

We were on a 25 passenger van in Skagway with Chilkoot Tours. You can call them and get your group all booked on the same van or maybe ask if you can have your own van???
