Are there significant menu differences on Princess in Europe/Baltic vs. Alaska or Caribbean?

We have cruised on Princess many times to the Caribbean and to Alaska.  We will be cruising in the Baltic and Northern Europe this summer on Princess.  Are there significant differences in the food that is served on European cruises (due to being provisioned in a different area of the world, especially) or can we expect menus that are similar in structure to those for cruises in or around the U.S.A.?  Thanks for any help!

You'll have a few "regional favorites" or something along those lines (basically a dish that has a core ingredient relevant to that region you're cruising in), but no, your cruising destination doesn't significantly affect your menu in a different way.

Just some examples of "regional favorites" on an Iceland/Norway cruise (you'll see where they're going with this after reading this list):

- "Scandinavian Fish Soup"

- "Seafood Cocktail"

- "Crispy Salmon Cake"

- "Rockfish Fillet Palermitana"

- "Fish 'n Chips"

- "Seafood Deviled Eggs"

- "Seared Mustard-Crusted Tuna"

Having the generally same menu across the world is a pet peeve of my hubby because he loves to sample regional cuisine while abroad. There was a time Pre-pandemic when Princess announced a push toward providing more of that, but it didn’t result in much. You’ll probably see a few tweaks but nothing drastic.

We cruise predominantly in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.  Sadly, we’ve found that in order to experience regional cuisine, you have to rely on your ports.  Princess tries to present menu items that at least hint at the area you’re cruising in, but not always successfully.  We always make a point of visiting local eateries while in port.  You cannot replicate pizza made in Italy!
