Rental Car Return in Miami

What car rental companies are located near the port that you can return a car rental to and they have a (free) shuttle to the port?

Avis and Budget have a location near the port on 2nd and will usually shuttle you to POM after returning the car.

The downtown Miami locations get very busy on cruise turnaround days.Make sure to get there early when returning your rental.

What time would you suggest?  And is the process relatively quick? I've heard the horror stories of trying to pickup a car..

The earlier you get there the better. The facility is too small for the amount of business it does on weekend cruise turnaround days. I remember years ago there was only one line so customers returning vehicles were on the same line as customers arriving to pick up their rentals. Under normal circumstances the pick up process takes a few hours. I normally pick up and return rental vehicles at the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center which is a state of the art large facility.

I hope there is a separate line for returns!!!!  Seems they would want the vehicles back ASAP
