Equinox ??

We've been on over 40 cruises, but never on Celebrity. Others all Carnival or Royal Carribean. Are there any meaningful differences  on Celebrity? Do people dress more for formal night? just read that they still use table cloths, paper menus, and have delicious bread. All great things, in my opinion. No smoking in the casino. Also great. I know nothing about the different class ships. What is the Equinox like? They accepted my diamond status from Royal, so I will be Elite on Celebrity. Will we get any complimentary water? So many questions, sorry. Any helpful insight will greatly be appreciated.

Celebrity has chic night instead of formal night and some people do dress up very nicely for it.

Between five and seven, you can be served unlimited drinks from the elite happy hour menu. You can get as many waters as you want during that time to take back to your stateroom.

I don't believe there are tablecloths in Tuscan Grill specialty restaurant anymore on Equinox or any of her sister ships. The demographic on Equinox is more mature and laid back than you find on Carnival or RCI. No water slides, etc. I don't know about water for Elite. There is an complimentary Elite breakfast with pastries, fruit, smoothies, meat and cheese, bloody marys, belinis and mimosas every morning separate from the MDR and buffet.I believe Elites get one free bag of laundry per cruise. Shows will not be as varied as RCI. There will be different types of music in different venues every evening. Wonderful crew and fantastically clean ship. No smoking anywhere inside. Lovely coffee bar called Cafe Al Bacio on deck 5. A great Japanese restaurant for small a la carte fees, across from Al Bacio.  And an actual lawn up on aft deck 14 with a lovely Sunset bar. Pizza in the buffet is usually very good. And real ice cream in several flavors is free each day in the buffet, Oceanview Cafe. You don't have to dress up for Chic Night if you don't wish to. Many don't. Smart casual is always good on Celebrity.

Thanks cruisestitch. Will church attire also be right on chic night? Is elite happy hour held in a special lounge or where?

Happy hour is at most bars from a limited menu.

And yes, church attire would be fine.  Generally shorts are not allowed in the MDR in the evening but beyond that you will see everything from khakis and polo shorts to more formal wear.
