Kona tenders

Which pier does Princess tender to for a Kona arrival. Pre pandemic it was always a non tender in an industrial port

Hi,

I hope this helps even though it was so long ago now.

We were there about five years ago on the Golden Princess and we had an industrial port for Hilo and a tender for Kona which came into Kona at a small wharf near the Courtyard by Marriot.

The ship was close to shore as shown in the photo.

I believe that you are confusing the arrangements for Hilo and Kona, the two cruise ports on the Big Island. In Hilo, ships dock at Pier 1 in the Port of Hilo, but in Kona, ships anchor offshore from Kailua Bay and tender passengers to the Kailua Pier, which is in front of the Courtyard by Marriott hotel.
