Recommendations for Baltimore hotels near the port

We're sailing out of Baltimore in August, looking for a decent hotel somewhere near the port if possible, anyone have info?

I stayed at the Courtyard at McHenry Row - you can see the port from the hotel. There is a nice grocery and a couple of restaurants in the same plaza.

I've seen recommendations for Trinity Reservations.  They list a number of hotels and their amenities (shuttle to port, etc.), and can make the booking.

Being “near the port” is good - but it seems a shame , if you are going to get to Baltimore fairly early, to not see some of what make Baltimore worth visiting - and not just hunker down “near the port” — you are likely to need some sort of transport on embarkation day anyway.
