Casino Prime: Annual Tier Certificate

Recommended Posts

I'm prime, so I have the certificate that gives a 7-night cruise, with only a few restrictions (no new ships, no holiday cruises, some blackout dates on some ships). But when I called to redeem it for a cruise I booked through next cruise, I was told I was not allowed to do that. Has anyone else had this issue? I've often booked through next cruise to secure the room and sailing, and then just applied the certificate.  The service rep told me, the rules changed. But I've never seen a notice on that and there is no restriction on the certificate.  Thanks!

I have not heard of this change.   Did you call the club royale number?   1.866.213.3116 is one of their numbers.

The cruise must have a sail date of 3.31.24 or sooner.

the cruise sails on March 30th, so that's fine. i did call club royale direct. i may just give another call to see if a different agent can help. it seemed so strange.

Yeah, try calling a different agent and see what they say.

I called Casino Royale to book a cruise that I wanted to convert to my free Prime cruise later. I was told that I had to use an existing casino offer to book the cruise so they could later just change the offer code. It also could not be converted after the final payment date. Luckily, I had a certificate for $100 off that I had won/earned on a cruise a few weeks earlier, because my other offers did not extend as far out as the cruise we wanted to book. When I called to convert it to the Prime cruise, there was no problem. The difference in the $500 deposit I had originally paid and the amount of port fees/taxes was refunded to my credit card quickly. I have read that someone else had booked with NC and was able to convert to the Prime cruise, so talking to a different rep may have different results. The key to success for me was that $100 certificate with a date that extended past the date I wanted to book, and the date of the cruise being more than ninety days out.

In the very ancient distant past, I was able to convert an existing booking (not made through NC or even booked as a casino booking) to an annual Prime booking...but that was YEARS ago.  I suspect they are trying to make it harder to do such things these days, as is the case for so many things...

I do recommend that you try a different CR agent, @cruisetorelax44.   I have had to do this many times in the past over a variety of different issues.  Everyone seems to have a different answer.  Just keep calling until you get someone that will do what you want !

We booked a sailing through Next Cruise on our first cruise in Jan of 2022 on Oasis.  It was not via a casino offer just a regular booking.  It was for Sept of 2022.  We became prime on that cruise.  Later my wife wanted to shift the cruise out by a few weeks.  She decided to call Casino Royale to see what they could do.  They converted it to our annual certificate and applied the deposit we had paid via Next cruise to go towards taxes and port fees.

Give them another call.  Please do report back.

I converted an already booked cruise to my annual Prime cruise this past April.  Didn't even hesitate (though it took him a very long time).  We had booked it, originally, as the second leg of a B2B.  They are now both Casino comps.

So....  it seems that you can still convert a booking

I called back today. Rep was able to do it with no issues. We lost the on board booking credit, but I was more than happy to give up $100 to save $1500. Thanks to all!

Fantastic news !
