Sami Greece

We are scheduled next year for a stop at Sami in Greece. I read that the old town and historical areas of Sami were destroyed in Sami a number of years ago. I am wondering if anyone has visited here, and what they would recommend. Thank you

It appears that all the old posts for Kefalonia have been scrubbed. Darn it. I wish CC hadn’t done this. Makes researching ports and private tours so flipping difficult. 
I did however go out onto the web and found a few blogs.  Looks like a beautiful island with several options. Thanks again for the tip marazul
