On the porthole front but admittedly not a Windstar memory - apologies. 
 

Last summer DW and I sailed on a small Turkish gulet. The portholes opened (thankfully as there was no A/C 🥵) but the cabin doors did not lock. When the crew decided they needed to close the portholes they just marched right in without knocking. Some near misses there! 😬🤣🙀

Sorry we were not on that TA we could not sail from 2000-2005. I was teaching. Too bad we never met. On the Pride 9/9 Reykjavik to Montréal. Hoping for calm seas. Happy Sailing. Susanne
