We always go to the dining room for lunch on embarkation day but last year departing from Southampton this was not available.

We.board Enchanted Princess on Saturday in Rome and wonder if Princess have stopped doing this lunch?

Go to the mdr on deck 6 mid ship it should be there hours are usually 12-1:30 when you embark they usually tell passengers lunch is available in the buffet they don't usually tell about the dining room.  Other choices besides those is alfredos or gigis can't remember which ship they changed the name is an no charge restaurant on deck 7 mid ship.  There is also the international cafe for lite bites on deck5 and the grill on deck 16 opposite the buffet.

Some ships, like the Discovery this summer in Alaska hours are 11:30 to 1:00

Unless something happened on that particular trip, embarkation lunch is always available in the DR either on deck 5 or 6. Did you check the doors on both sides to see which were open? What did the patter say?

Last month on the Enchanted, we had lunch in the MDR when boarding in Rome.

Thank you for that information. We will try again tomorrow and keep our fingers crossed! 👍

we have done nearly 30 cruises with Princess and this is the first time it wasn’t offered. We always go to the dining room and checked both sides but they said there was no lunch. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be different. There was no mention in the patter but then we’ve never seen it mentioned before. They really want you to go to the buffet 🤣

On my last cruise in April boarding was delayed due to the crew doing a deep clean because of norovirus so I didn't get lunch in dining room on embarking it was supposed to stay open later but I guess they didn't or maybe never opened it for lunch.
