l64 Posted July 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2023 Sorry if this has been asked before, I haven't found any info elsewhere. I wonder if the cruise ship MSC meraviglia offers a 'deal' on bottled water that we can use in the cabin. On other ships we had such offers, for example for 12 bottles of 1L or similar. Because we are six travelers and usually don't drink tap water, it may become a cost issue on a 14 day cruise 🙂 thank you!
2flacruisers Posted July 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2023 Doesn't look like it...I have a cruise planned and there isn't one offered, just a non-alcohol package.
perakcruiser Posted July 16, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2023 Sadly it was discontinued in 2019. Together with the coffee package, the wine package....
Knicks1130 Posted July 16, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2023 YC still has bottles of water
Rare 4sallypat Posted July 16, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2023 Water from the ship is very good - almost better than bottled. MSC has some extraordinary water engineering to provide a very tasty water from your tap, buffet, etc...

I will second that...the best out of any other cruise line/ship that we have been on.
Rare Glitchlo Posted July 16, 2023 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2023 In YC they have bottles of Still and Sparkling and restock as you drink it. Same at YC restaurant.
CruisinMaterial Posted July 16, 2023 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2023 Depending upon how much water you consume in a day, the non-alcoholic refreshment package could be a good deal. The Aqua Panna bottles are $6.50 USD so that can add up fast. Plus you can get mocktails with it and the smoothies from the covered pool bar.
l64 Posted July 17, 2023 Author #9 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Thanks to everyone for your quick replies! I looked at the current drink packages. The one for minors and the alcohol free packages do not include bottled water. The first package to include bottled water is the 'easy package'. Looks like the kids will drink fruit cocktails all day and I'll stick to beer 🙂 When a bottle of water costs 6.50, it makes beer and wine look cheap :) For 3 adults and 3 kids, these basic drink packages increase the cruise cost by $193/day or $32/person/day, ($2700 for entire 14 day cruise). I guess if we drink 'heavily' it will work out (^_^). On the other hand, with that amount of money you could buy about 25 bottles of water a day... So I guess if we drink a few glasses of wine and espressos it will make sense to get the drink package. Now it's just a matter of 'finding' the extra $2700 before the cruise 🙂
