Does a Travel Agent See the Same Availability as PVP

We are looking to book 2 cabins near the rear elevators on the Pride. One cabin for 3 guests the other for 2. The cabins that are showing as available in the area we want only show for 3 people.

My question for 2 people to book a triple would I be better off asking Carnival directly with my PVP or would my travel agent have better luck?

You PVP is going to have all options for you.  They have access to all rooms for sure.  I have even had my PVP contact someone and get a room "released" for just 2 of us.

Never used a TA so not 100% sure they do.  I prefer the benefits of a good PVP and having direct access to my own booking.

Never booked with a TA, but my first booking ever with a PVP today. She could see rooms available that looked book from what I could see. She also got me $500 OBC which I didn't have in my offers. So I will always book with a PVP from now on.

I know you can't say it, but love to have your PVP...

@Rollin Tide as a travel agent, would you be able contact the cruise line to move your client's booking in to their preferred cabin (even if you don't see it within your system, but it is available on the cruise line's site)?

Or would your client be able to contact the cruise line to move their cabin on their own (or will the cruise line only deal with the booking agent for a matter like this)?

Thanks! Appreciate your insight.

I did contact my PVP she said depends on the specific cruise. Sometimes they allow and sometimes they don’t.

I think that the person who received the $500 onboard credit was a “casino” offer. They usually are $500 OBC.  One of the cruises that I was looking for there was CHEERS offer basically the same price as buying separately. The same ship but different month CHEERS was only $450 more basically half price. Both cruise were 6 nights. You can see all your offers by checking the VIFP section or by putting in your VIFP number when browsing.

If I'm assigned as the TA for the cruise, I've been able to move clients before.

But, if a booking has a designated TA, the client is not typically able to contact the cruise line on their own to move.  I say typically because the cruise line says once a TA is assigned, they're the only ones the line would deal with on a booking, however I booked a large group recently, and one of the clients called the line and got 2 of the cabins moved.  Sometimes you may get a representative that'll disregard the line's rule for whatever reason.

I checked my confirmation, and can't find the rate we were booked under. Maybe it was a casino rate, but we haven't spent a dime in the casino in about 8 years.

My son books under 0V7. It says PLAN NOW SAIL LATER. It doesn’t say casino offer but this how he gets the $500 onboard credit.

I just got the “OH SNAP” … Offer was Limited.
