is there an advantage to pre booking a snorkel cruise

HI   I looked into booking a one of the smaller passenger number catamaran cruises but either they're fully sold or the timings don't work.  So the next option is to take an hour and half snorkel and swim trip.  Although booking can be through different suppliers, they seem to be operated by Tranquility cruises.  Does Tranquility  operate many boats?  Its difficult to tell as they are offered by many more suppliers.  If they are operating many boats, in readers experience is it possible to go to Carlisle beach and make an on the spot decision Finally am I correct in thinking that from leaving the ship this would be approximately a 25 min walk that could be done with a baby buggy (baby isn't snorkelling)
