seasidemn Posted July 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2023 Good morning, We were faithful Crystal cruisers until you know what.. For now, we are headed over to Regent Seven seas and Going on the new ship the Grandeur in November. I called regarding the pool temperature to make sure during five days at sea I would be able to enjoy the pool. I was told the pool would be kept between seventy and seventy five! Why bother filling it? The daytime temperature in Barcelona will be about sixty five. I would appreciate anyone's comments on their pool experiences and expectations. Thank you! Marylebone37 Posted July 21, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2023 Not my experience on other ships, and I'm pretty much a daily swimmer. I'd guess they've been kept around 82-83F.
Pcardad Posted July 21, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2023 It varies wildly based on air temperature and how recently they have filled it.
Rare WNcruiser Posted July 22, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) As much as a I love Regent, my last cruise on the Explorer (Caribbean) had the coldest pool I had ever been in. When was the last time you had a sea day with temps in the upper 80s and not one single person in the pool? Several guests asked guest services and the deck staff to please heat it up and were given many different answers and responses but it never changed. Camillus112 Posted July 22, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2023 This would be such a disappointment for us!! Living in Central/Upstate NY where winters are so cold and looong, we look forward to our usual December Caribbean cruise...when we mostly enjoy the pool during the day. We hope the pool will be adequately heated in the Grandeur this coming December!! I better have my TA look into this. 🧐
slidebite Posted July 24, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2023 FWIW when we were on Voyager this past spring the main pool was only a few degrees cooler than the hot tubs.
