Pick up and Drop off (Lyft/Uber) Improving in Galveston?

I am wondering people’s experience with being picked up and taken to the pier for cruise embarkation as well as being picked up and taken to the airport for disembarkation since Uber can now pick/drop off at the cruise terminals?  Have things improved?  I used to read that people had a hard time getting a Lyft/Uber on morning of embarkation and getting picked up from cruise terminal to be taken to the airport.  

 

We have a private car company, but the owner is having some health issues and it’s making me a little nervous with reliability.

We have been wondering too. We go in January. We are thinking of booking when we get there

2 days ahead for a taxi or shuttle to the port, and taking a cruise tour after that ends at the airport in

houston...

We also hope someone replies to this , we don’t sail until November will definitely Uber or Lyft to our hotel for pre cruise , if needed we will hire limo or towncar for our trip to airport.

I live in Galveston and take Ubers weekly from HOU and ocassionally from IAH and have not had a problem.
