Just a heads up for anyone who is going to be out and about on March 29th, there is going to be a Solar eclipse best visible in the Asia, Africa or eastern coast of South America areas. Hope someone gets a nice show!

The Prinsendam will be in the Mediterannean at that time. Supposedly, the itenerary was chosen to provide one of the better viewing opportunities... hence the name of the voyage: "Circle of the Sun".

When events as this occur it is a wonderful time/opportunity to enjoy this . Less light polution....:D

A solar eclipse will not be affected much by light pollution... a lunar eclipse would be affected, though. Atmospheric pollution will affect the clarity of the corona on a solar eclipse, so being at sea should help... if the clouds cooperate and stay away.
